COOK CLUB – PIE MAKING
Pie baking starts with the Crust and there are many variations we’ll learn about. With a perfect Pie Crust you can include Quiche and Tarts in your repertoire of accomplishments. This lesson includes sweet and savory Pies. We’ll learn the most important Pie baking tips, best temperatures for baking, how to make a double Crust, and tips for making perfect pies and the science of baking them. Our menu includes: Chicken Pot Pie; Turkey, Brie and Apple Pasty; Old Fashioned Southern Sweet & Creamy Custard Pie; Arizona Sunshine Lemon Pie in a Blender; Dutch Apple Pie; Southern Fried Peach Pie Tartlets; Chocolate Pie with Chocolate Crumb Crust and Whipped Cream, and Mini Pumpkin Pies with Pastry Dough Maple Leaves.
