As soon as Martie Sullivan moved Sweet Basil to a larger space she fulfilled another dream: cooking classes for Kids & Teens. And not just “kids-easy” dishes but the real deal. (See some upcoming classes below.) The TV cooking shows were gaining followers of all ages. Martie wanted to offer them a serious and fun environment with professional chefs teaching them to emulate their TV heroes.

Sweet Basil has classes for Kids & Teen scheduled throughout the year. In addition, we are well known for our Summer Cook Camps!! Each day we will focus on cooking methods, techniques, ingredients, recipe reading, knife skills and more. This valuable series provides life skills to cook for yourself and others. Hands-on classes introduce a new subject each day, and end with a meal of the foods prepared. Today this series teaches: PIZZA AND SALAD: Peking Chicken Pizza; Chicken Tikka Pizza; French Bread Pizza Margherita; Pizza Salad; Taco Salad; Cheesy Breadsticks, and Pizza Dip.
